Abstract

In Classical and Late Antiquity it was uncommon that the reputation of a Latin writer spread in the East, still less common that Latin works were translated in Greek. Cyprian of Carthage was one among the few Latin writers who enjoyed this honor. The A. traces the Fortleben of the literary production of the African Bishop both through the works of Greek and Byzantine writers, Greek conciliar canons, and through the greek translations of some of his works, not forgetting the eastern iconographic tradition on Cyprian.
