The study aims to critically re-examine the known elements of the so-called Sanctuary of the Regio Tratturo, one of the most important realities in the archaeological panorama of ancient Daunia (Apulia, Italy). Excavated in 1985, the structures are no longer visible on the surface. On the basis, in particular, of the photographs taken during the excavation and of an unpublished drawing, an attempt is made to verify the correctness of the traditionally accepted interpretative framework and to offer a new contribution for a more complete definition of the architectural physiognomy of the building in the more general context of ancient Daunian culture.

Abstract
The study aims to critically re-examine the known elements of the so-called Sanctuary of the Regio Tratturo, one of the most important realities in the archaeological panorama of ancient Daunia (Apulia, Italy). Excavated in 1985, the structures are no longer visible on the surface. On the basis, in particular, of the photographs taken during the excavation and of an unpublished drawing, an attempt is made to verify the correctness of the traditionally accepted interpretative framework and to offer a new contribution for a more complete definition of the architectural physiognomy of the building in the more general context of ancient Daunian culture.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
