The article examines the genocidal apparatus and the actions of the Global Sumūd Flotilla (GSF) in the face of the occupation of Gaza, situating them within a conceptual and ethical framework of pedagogical origin. To this end, we will draw upon the considerations of Stanton and the “Jo Cox” Commission on hate crimes to argue how the GSF incorporates educational potentials useful for recognizing and resisting behaviors – even latent ones – that may facilitate the logic of genocide. The GSF is understood both as a committed response of opposition and support to resist all forms of genocide (as an inherently educational presence/act, given its reference to humanitarian principles, international law, and an ethics of living/coexistence, etc.), and as a communicative and testimonial tactic to mobilize men and women – not only within the occupied territories – to resist, endure, and struggle, also through the powerful imaginary activated by the marine element, the primary medium of the GSF’s actions.
