An inventory of new and rare taxa of Gargano is presented and discussed. Three species are not reported for the Apulia Region in the Annotated Checklist of the Italian Vascular Flora: Achillea setaceaWaldst. & Kit. subsp. setacea, Lathyrus angulatus L. and Lavandula latifolia Medik., the last one probably alloctonous. Other species, such as Convolvulus lineatus L., Cotoneaster tomentosus (Aiton) Lindl., Dianthus ciliatus Guss. subsp. ciliatus and Matthiola fruticulosa (L.) Maire subsp. fruticulosa were observed only after a long time and in new growing sites, while for rare species, such as Allium garganicum Brullo, Pavone, Salmeri & Terrasi, Allium moschatum L., Asphodelus tenuifolius Cav., Limonium diomedeum Brullo, Malva thuringiaca (L.) Vis., Saxifraga rotundifolia L. subsp. rotundifolia and Teucrium montanum L., new growing sites were observed. The relationships between these species and the 92/43/EEC Directive show that 11 out of 14 taxa are part of the 7 different habitats, while for the other 3, insufficient data about local distribution or low numerical consistency of the populations, do not allow habitat identification. The data allow the updating of the Natura 2000 Data Forms.

Abstract
The data allow the updating of the Natura 2000 Data Forms.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
