Active ageing is the process, evolution and optimizing opportunity for a healthy life of good quality, and enhances an appropriate, healthy and active lifestyle for those who age naturally, thus increasing their experience and their educational values of life. The Strategy and Action Plan for Healthy Ageing in Europe (2012-2020) provides an example and its aim is to achieve health goals. Taking into account the effective policies that go beyond the rapid demographic ageing and responding to the growing needs and expectations of the ageing population, it promotes health and social services in the field of self-care, recognizing the fundamental right of everyone to achieve a balanced health process in the various and broader spheres of the person, without distinction of age, gender, ethnicity and other differences.
