The spreading of video games by adolescents and young adults is increasingly leading to the development of forms of addiction, such as addiction to the internet and video games. The aim of this work is to detect the risk of addiction on a sample of teenagers and young adults - who were asked to complete an online test. The interest was also to detect possible correlations with factors such as coping strategies and the resilience of the interviewees.130 people, including teenagers and young adults, were given an ad hoc questionnaire on video game addiction, the RSA (Resilience Scale for Adults) for the measurement of resilience, and the COPE-NVI (Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced) for the measurement of the coping profile of the subjects.Significant correlations were found between the questions in the video game addiction questionnaire with coping strategies and resilience. In particular, a negative relationship emerged with strategies on avoidance, and positive with adaptive strategies and positive resources.
