The new reading of the fourth book of the Eneid, made by Jules Lemaître in "Anna soror", is based on a process of reorganization of the system of values of the epic model reinterpreted in the light of human bonheur. In this transposition of levels and perspectives, "Anna soror" plays the leading part of acknowledged queen, according to the traditional pragmatic origins of her character. The faithfulness to the Virgilian model provides continuity to the character, in her state of accomplice and helper, as the unfaithfulness motivated by the "ton buolevardier" gives her a leading role in this many-sided reconversion of the abstract logic of monolithic heroes in the concreteness of a humanity that recognizes itself in the everyday nature of existence.
