The case of a 63-year-old woman submitted to radical nephrectomy for a solid mass (∅ 4 cm) on the upper pole of the kidney is reported. It was discovered by chance during ultrasound for cholelithiasis and confirmed by CT. Macroscopic examination of the excised kidney revealed a second neoformation with a diameter of 0.5 cm, again on the upper pole. Histology proved that the larger mass was an oncocytoma and the smaller one was an angiomyolipoma. The case is of interest not only for the rarity of the association of the 2 pathologies but also for the pathogenetical considerations it raises.
