A comparative study on fruit-set induced by daily artificial self- and cross-pollination was underkaken on Apulian almond cultivars. Fruit sets were satisfactory and, within a same cultivar, did not differ statistically according to the pollination method. The results indicated the possibility to grow a self-fertile cultivar in solid block, eliminating dependance on pollinating varieties.
