The debate concerning the standards of quality related to scientific journals deals with directors and researchers in every fields, because success for both depends on it. In this article three issues will be addressed: first, a critical analysis of the publishing management currently used; secondly, a view on journals of History of Education published in America, Europa and Oceania is provided; finally the journal «Espacio, Tiempo y Educación» is analized, both for the ideas on which it was created, giving meaning to its editorial project, and for the achievements, purposes and challenges that it will face in the medium term.

Abstract

The debate concerning the standards of quality related to scientific journals deals with directors and researchers in every fields, because success for both depends on it.
