The extreme mutability of environmental (global) contexts and of any human and social activity makes change an essential necessity for every organization. This research explores the role of visionary leadership in managing strategic change in turbulent environments. The study uses an exploratory research design with a sample of global aerospace companies. It examines the predictive ability of visionary leadership (at the CEO and C-suite levels) on the effective implementation of strategic change and the role of systems thinking as a necessary condition. The aim is to theoretically explore leadership and systemic competencies and their influence on organizational adaptability.

Abstract
