Starting from the state of the art, it is possible to establish that currently the agritourism represents a peculiarity, as well as one of the driving forces, of the Italian tourism sector. The main purpose of this study is to investigate what is the specific weight of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in the development policies of agritourism operators present in the marginalized areas of the Puglia region e.g., the implementation of blockchain technology. The research question can be summarized as follows: is the development of the agritourism sector necessarily dependent on an optimization of the role of ICT within inland and marginalized territories? To this end, the study is based on pilot research and will refer to the territory of the Gargano National Park. The methodology provides for an empirical investigation conducted starting from an ad hoc questionnaire (CAPI, CAWI), to investigate the sentiment of local agritourism operators towards ICT. The implications of a possible structural upgrading are many, such as to allow agritourism operators to position themselves effectively on the international market and enter into the mechanisms of Tourism 4.0, as indicated in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR); at the same time, paying particular attention to the UNWTO strategies and guidelines established during the G20 meeting of September 2022.

Abstract
The implications of a possible structural upgrading are many, such as to allow agritourism operators to position themselves effectively on the international market and enter into the mechanisms of Tourism 4.0, as indicated in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR); at the same time, paying particular attention to the UNWTO strategies and guidelines established during the G20 meeting of September 2022.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
