Dall'artificiale anatomico alla robotica: storia delle tecnologie per la disabilità

This paper presents an historical outline on technology application for helping disability through specific devices. Starting from the car designed by Giovanni Fontana the survey analyzes solutions up to modern current devises in terms of mechanisms and machines as to address attention to their importance in discussion on disability since the specific technological historiography usually does not consider them. The paper shows with an illustration approach how those devices received and can give contributions also to current Robotics research and specific Biomedical Robotics.
