The phrases aposynagogos genetai and aposynagogous poiesousin hymas have been interpreted as a final excomunication of the Yavneh synod and of the Birkat ha-minim. The latest studies make us think about the mining of these expressions. Towards the end of the first century, there weren't any precise and antithetical differences between the two institutions, but only groups of believers in the same God, belonging to the same people. The community of St John's believers doesn't feel himself left out by Israel, but rather by the local judaic groups they came in contact with. This contrast dates back to Jesus Christ's time and is in line with Israel's hostility towards the prophets. All that calls for a revision of both the dating of the Fourth Gospel and its supposed anti-Judaism.

Abstract
All that calls for a revision of both the dating of the Fourth Gospel and its supposed anti-Judaism.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
