The article analyzes in a comparative perspective the regulations for partly or fully autonomously driving cars in Germany and in Common Law countries. But, in order to exploit the advantages of the new technology which is not yet fully developed and will be available in future, further legislative steps are necessary to regulate self driving cars. the article will explore advantages and drawbacks stems from the so called pure no-fault insurance for self driving car as alternative to liability insurance.
