The Dauno territory, dotted with countless sanctuaries, international or simply local, has attracted crowds of pilgrims since ancient times. This contribution focuses on the origin and meaning of women's pilgrimage in general and in particular on pilgrims going to the micaelico sanctuary, the oldest in the territory, to the sanctuary of the Incoronata, or simply in transit to or from sanctuaries far from Daunia. Finally, it examines an unusual practice related to the pilgrimage that, it seems, had as protagonists, mostly women.

Finally, it examines an unusual practice related to the pilgrimage that, it seems, had as protagonists, mostly women.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
