Global archaeology and history of the rural landscapes of Italy between Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages In the introduction are addressed the main topics of the conference, focusing on the importance of approaching landscape in a holistic perspective, and on the role of MIUR And MiBACT in their relation with freelance professionals. Retracing the work carried out by the archaeologists of the university of Foggia, it dealt also with the disaster of the arson of the Roman villa of Faragola. Lastly, it reflected upon nowadays archaeology in Italy, in the attempt of building an unitary strategy and coordination system.
