The discovery in the Colombina Library in Seville of a unknown and unstudied manuscript by the humanist Aurelio Serena from Monopoli (Bari) allows for a careful examination of the literary fashions in vogue in early sixteenth-century Roman cultural circles and an interesting investigation into the training and the poetry apprenticeship methods developed by teachers working in Rome at the time.
