Manuscript Vat. lat. 7584 was partly written by Antonio Galateo in the last months of his life, as he collated his letters to construct a spiritual legacy. The manuscript shows intensive revision and rewriting, especially in the second part, while the first part is a neat and clean copy, with regular margins and pagination. The editorial interventions, which are present both in the author’s holograph section and in the parts written by another hand, allow us to understand how Galateo worked and the reason for the ordering of the letters.
