Viilloison’s manuscripts in the National Library of Paris include many unpublished notes and commentaries about several subjects. After his travel to Greece and Asia minor (1784-1786), he spent the rest of his life preparing a book about the comparison between ancient and modern Greece he never published. Furthermore Villoison’s annoted copy of Tournefort’s Voyage, now in the reserve of the French National Library, allows to fill the blanks in his Journal of voyage.Iin the margins of this edition he often reported the inscriptions he saw, some of them till now unpublished.
