This book aims to provide clinical insights in organ transplantation for all those physicians, surgeons, and medical students involved in the management of this condition. Although special efforts have been made to address the problems of short- and long-term complications, the main goal of this book remains the issue of posttransplant malignancy, which has been analyzed from epidemiology to therapy, passing through biomolecular and immunologic mechanisms. To achieve this, great efforts have been made in combining the experience of a group of people whose professional collaboration and friendship have spanned nearly the entire era of modern transplantation therapy.
