The paper presents a reflection on adolescence as age of change starting from Montessori studies. The purpose is analyze the role that the environment has on the development of the creative potential, particularly in adolescence as age with frequent adjustments to new roles and new contexts. Central is the concept of "crisis", analyzed in a positive sense, as predisposition to change and tension to the future. The need for "trans-formation" requires an appropriate educational system, with specific teaching tools and educational investigation to develop plural and antidogmatic mind.
