Abstract

A cross-sectional study on the reliability of neurophysiological test for medical surveillance of lead exposed workers was carried out. Some out of range values for the visual evoked response have been found in the exposed group: namely ten exposed showed a latency of 110 msec as opposed to four non-exposed. However, the small ssample size prevents any clear-cut evaluation. Nerve conduction measurements are not good indicators of subclinical lead neuropathy.
